WHEELING, W.Va. – Dillon Sunnafrank is this week’s WJU Male Athlete of the Week. Sunnafrank helped lead the Cardinals baseball team to a 2-0 mark last week including a pair conference wins over the University of Virginia’s College at Wise last Friday.  

Dillon blasted two solo homeruns in game one to lead WJU to its 3-2 victory over UVa-Wise. The junior also hurled five innings while allowing just two runs. Sunnafrank added a pair of RBI’s in the Cardinals 9-3 victory over the Cavaliers in game two, as he drove in a run in the third and the sixth innings.

On the season, Sunnafrank holds a team-high .350 batting average, and has five homeruns. He has driven home 13 runs off of 14 hits. He also leads the Cardinals with a 2.50 ERA over 18.1 innings pitched, and has struck out 11 opponents.
