WHEELING, W.Va. – Jakub (Kuba) Skrzypczak of the men’s swimming team and Logan Bowman of the wrestling team have been named Co-WJU Athletes of the Week after their recent performances.

Skrzypczak, a senior from Mielec, Poland, guided the Cardinal men’s swimming program to its seventh Appalachian Swimming Conference Championship in the past eight seasons.

The senior swimmer finished the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:49.14, which was good for first place. Kuba also was a member the 400 free relay team who finished in second with a time of 3:06.39. His time was an impressive stint of 47.21.
