WHEELING, W.Va. – Chenelle Moore of the Wheeling Jesuit University women’s basketball team has been named the Female Athlete of the Week. Moore helped lead the Cardinals to a thrilling 73-72 victory over Mountain East Conference opponent Notre Dame College.

Moore played 16 minutes of action for WJU in the contest. The freshman from Westerville, Ohio finished with a double-double, scoring 16 points and collecting 11 boards. She also added a block and a steal to her stat line. Her strong performance off the bench helped WJU improve to 4-1 on the season and climb into the 10th spot in the regional rankings.

Moore and the Cardinals return to action on Thursday, December 3 when they travel to Fairmont State University. WJU returns home to host Shepherd University on Saturday, December 5 at 12 p.m.
